Suda Completes Design of World’s 4th Largest Liftboat

  • Post category:liftboats

A. K. Suda (SUDA) has successfully completed the design of a 320 ft. (97.5m) truss-legged liftboat. This vessel is being delivered to its owners in 3rd Quarter 2016.  This vessel follows on the heels of the 300 ft. (91.5m) (SUDA 300-L4T) truss leg liftboat delivered earlier this year.

This state-of-the-art vessel is a 4-legged, self-propelled, self-elevating, general service liftboat, known as the SUDA 320-L4T.  It was built by Triyards Marine for Swissco Offshore, and named Jinshan 1.  It is ABS classed with Unrestricted Service, X A-1, X AMS.  The hull dimensions are 182 ft. x 114 ft., 10 in x 14 ft., 9 in., (55m x 35m x 4.5m).  The quarters arrangement can accommodate 146 persons including crew.  The SUDA 320-L4 also has a generous cargo deck area of 950 m2.

This Self-Elevating Unit is capable of working in water depths up to 246 ft. (75 m).  It also has a CAP 437 heliport, capable of supporting a Sikorsky S76 or Bell 412 helicopter.

SUDA says, “Our designs are unique in that they do more for less.  This vessel is no different.  We are confident it will provide the owner a long and profitable service.”

SUDA holds one of the most extensive portfolios of liftboat designs that have actually been built.

In addition to the SUDA 320-L4T hull, also under construction is the 335 ft., 3-legged truss design SUDA 335-L3T
